Panchakarma - First Stage
Preparation | Purva Karma

This is an extremely important part of your detoxification, where we will prepare your body for the elimination of toxins.
You will also receive a small booklet of recipes and some uncommon ingredients that you will use in your diet.
We will explain in detail everything you will need to do.
This will be a week for you to calm your mind and start cultivating new habits in search of effective change!
We will improve your metabolism and begin internal oleation with clarified butter, as described in Ayurvedic texts.
Panchakarma - Second Stage
External Oleations, Procedures, and Eliminations (Pradhankarma)

We will continue with the anti-toxin diet and the improvement of agni, the digestive fire. In this stage, we will complete internal oleation with clarified butter and perform external oleations with sessions of Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Karna Purana, and Swedhana, the Ayurvedic sauna.
All participants will also receive sessions of Garshana, a different type of massage aimed more at cleansing the subtle body (Pranamaya Kosha).
Additional procedures will be defined according to the needs of each participant, such as Udvartana, external Bastis, Patra Potali, etc.
After all the preparation, with the body saturated and toxins driven to the points of elimination, we will proceed with the eliminations.
On the day of Panchakarma eliminations, the diet will be quite restricted, conserving the energy necessary for the digestive processes.
Panchakarma - Third Stage
Recovery | Consolidation (Uttara Karma)

Imagine a wall covered in cobwebs and a lot of dust. Imagine that using a mop, you clean these walls and remove all the dirt. If you sweep it up and look at what was removed, you will see paint and material from the wall itself that was taken off by the process.
This is how our body works; a deep cleanse leaves it weakened for a few days, and it is ideal to allow it to rest and recover perfectly before returning to normal life.
Another point is that we need to maintain these practices for 21 days because, according to Ayurveda, this helps to consolidate new habits.
In this stage, the participant will return home and maintain the diet and meditation practices learned during the retreat week.
Additional Information
You will be very well accommodated!
We have availability to treat only 8 people per month (with accommodation), and the schedule works as follows:
GROUP 1 – 4 people
The person starts the treatment at home on the 5th of the month, completes the preparatory phase, and stays with us from the 16th to the 30th, then returns home and completes the consolidation phase.
GROUP 2 – 4 people
The person starts the treatment at home on the 20th of the month, completes the preparatory phase, and stays with us from the 1st to the 15th, then returns home and completes the consolidation phase.
If the person is from Sorocaba or nearby cities, it is possible to do the treatment without staying overnight, coming to the space and undergoing the procedures. Therefore, staying with us is optional.

Panchakarma - A "Cellular Level Surgery"
If you have reached this point, your interest in receiving a profound Panchakarma treatment must be immense, so it is essential to clarify the details of this process.
In Ayurveda, we study how diseases establish themselves, the pathophysiology of Ayurveda, and we have the ability to treat conditions before the disease manifests its symptoms.
Initially, the Dosha accumulates in its place of origin, likely due to Ahara (Nutrition) and Vihara (Lifestyle). This stage, called Chaya, is extremely normal, as our diet, activities, climate, living environment, habits, and lifestyle cause the Doshas to increase in quantity and alter in quality, a phenomenon we refer to as aggravation.
At this stage, treatment is simple, and small changes along with the use of medicinal herbs can significantly improve the patient’s condition, preventing the progression of the process.
However, if we do not take the necessary measures at this first stage, we inevitably reach the second stage, Prakopa. In this stage, the Dosha begins to aggravate, with more pronounced action and expression, showing significant signs/gunas. If the patient continues to be exposed to the causative factors, they will certainly progress to the third stage. It is important to note that we are still talking about the accumulation of Dosha in the digestive system, koshta, and it is still reasonably easy to treat at this point!
However, people in the West do not know how to read their body’s signs, do not perceive the aggravation of the Dosha, and persist in harmful dietary habits and an unhealthy lifestyle. Thus, the Dosha reaches its peak, where it can no longer be contained by the digestive system and overflows into the body. This occurs through the membranes of the organs, which are permeable. We then reach the third stage – Prasara – the overflow of the Dosha, out of its site of origin, into a tissue/dathu or channel/srota, usually mixing with the plasma/Rasa Dathu and manifesting on the skin.
Now, the situation is more complicated, as removing the Dosha after Prasara, the spreading throughout the body, requires more intensive treatment.
It is rare to find people with a clean body and unobstructed channels. Additionally, it is difficult to find individuals with a truly balanced diet, so it is common for bodies to have weakened, less resistant tissues. These tissues are what we call Dushya – weakened tissue.
Well, the aggravated Doshas combine with another physiological entity, AMA, or undigested food, resulting from a weakened and insufficient digestive fire, and settle in these weakened tissues. This phase is called Sthana Samsraya!
Reviewing the process – The Dosha finds a weakened or suitable place to settle, which can be a tissue (Dushya), or other body residues, including Ama and Malas – We have the onset of symptoms. Sammurchana is an “amalgamation” composed of the aggravated Dosha, with Ama, that binds to weakened and susceptible tissues in an inflammatory process.
At this point in the process, symptoms that typically lead people to seek medical attention begin to appear. This stage is called Vyadhi – Symptoms become more evident, and the disease begins to manifest fully. Note that Ayurveda would have intervened long before this point!
In the final stage, called Bheda, the person may develop a secondary condition, with the primary disease leading to secondary problems.
After this somewhat lengthy explanation, which has been summarized as much as possible, it is easy to see that we have all had phases in our lives where we abused our diet and did not maintain good habits. It would be difficult to find someone over 30 years old with a perfect digestive fire, agni, who has not accumulated Doshas and undigested food that establish themselves in the body as toxins. In other words, it would be hard to find people for whom Panchakarma would not be extremely useful and beneficial!
Thus, we see that Panchakarma is a cellular level surgery, as it goes down to the tissue level, removing everything that could potentially harm them!
Rejuvenation, Rasayana, and Vitality Gain, Vajikarana
It is important to note that the process should be continued. Panchakarma will remove toxins and the excess doshas, but the tissues that were weakened remain susceptible to new attacks and new accumulations of AMA and aggravated doshas.
However, after Panchakarma, the body will be clean and the digestive fire, agni, will be regulated. The srotas, or transport channels, will also be clear, allowing for effective and easy nourishment of the tissues. This is when we recommend two additional processes:
Rasayana – Rejuvenation – Here, we provide very special medicinal herbs that nourish the tissues, helping them recover their functions and vitality, improving even at an aesthetic level.
Vajikarana – Aphrodisiac Therapy – While it does have an aspect related to libido enhancement, it also pertains to overall vitality, promoting a sense of enthusiasm and well-being in life.
How long does Panchakarma take to complete?
This is a very important question!
Panchakarma is a special time for rest and recovery and should not be rushed.
Each action, karma, has its own time, and between them, smaller but equally important actions are performed. It is essential to respect the treatment timelines and the necessary recovery periods between actions.
Therefore, we ask that the patient stay with us for 15 days. If the initial state of the patient is very good, the process may be shortened to 12 days, but no less.
There have been instances where people have undergone Panchakarma even in India for shorter durations, but we can say without a doubt that these procedures cannot be called Panchakarma, as they do not follow the defined protocols for this special treatment.
What benefits can I expect from Panchakarma?
The benefits of Panchakarma are numerous! We have mentioned some above, which are the most measurable and clear for the patient:
- Reduction of toxins
- Improvement of the digestive system and intestinal function
- Remission of diseases
- Enhancement and improvement of sensory organs
- Balance of the mind and intellect
- Improvement in mental clarity and focus
- Better quality of sleep
- Increased sexual vigor
- Slowing down the aging process
However, it is important to explain that these improvements occur at a systemic level, throughout the entire body and even at a subtle level. The mind, being non-physical, is profoundly benefited by Panchakarma, such that the patient’s emotional state undergoes a complete transformation. Propensities towards anxiety or lethargy also change, and the person becomes more centered and focused.
In fact, it is difficult to fully describe the depth at which this process operates, and it is important to emphasize that the benefits continue to unfold for months after the completion of the process!
These are life-changing benefits, including dietary re-education and the ability to listen to one’s own body. We provide classes for patients to attend during the process, fostering a heightened awareness of their physical and mental health.
It’s also worth noting that these benefits extend beyond the patient to their family, spouse, and children. A physically and mentally restored person becomes more pleasant, functional, and happier, contributing to a much healthier family environment.
In Ayurveda, happiness is integral to health. Sukha Ayu – a Happy Life – is what we wish for everyone who comes to us!
About the Accommodation:
We have only 8 slots available each month, 4 in the first half (from the 1st to the 15th) and 4 in the second half (from the 16th to the 30th).
